  1. Clean the chana saag and remove the stems
  2. Cut and peel potato into 1/2 inch dice
  3. In a heavy bottom pan, heat oil. Add cumin seed, asafoetida, saute ginger, garlic, green chilli, onion.
  4. Now add all dry spices except dry mango powder and garam masala.
  5. Saute for a minute.
  6. Then add potato, and chana saag. Mix it with all masala and cover with lid.
  7. Let it cook for 6 to 8 minute or untill the potatoes are done. Stir in between to avoid burn
  8. Now add chopped tomatoes, dry mango powder and garam masala cook for another 2 minute.
  9. Green chana bhaji are now ready to enjoy with chapati or paratha.
