  1. Get 1 small bunch - spinach

  17. Take 2 - small pieces of kachcha aam(as required)
  18. Prepare 1 tsp - jaggery (as required)
  19. Take 2 tsp - salt(as required)
  20. You need 1 tsp - coriander seed powder
  21. Use 1/2 tsp - cumin seed powder
  22. Take 1/4 tsp - methi seeds
Steps to make Palak dal bhaji:
  1. Rinse palak leaves well. Chopped finely. Rinse all dal together well. Put all dal, palak, peanuts in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add 2 cups of water, methi seeds, slices of kachcha aam, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and grated ginger.
  3. Heat on medium flame for 2 whistle. Then reduced the flame to low and cook for 5 minutes. Switch off the gas.
  4. When the steamed is completely released remove the lid. Mix the mixture well. Add jaggery and salt. and some water to get desired consistency (if needed).
  5. Heat the oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp asafoetida, turmeric powder and sauté.
  6. Add green chillies, red chillies, curry leaves and sauté. Add red chilli powder, goda masala mix well.
  7. Immediately add cooked dal mixture in a pan. Stir well. Cover and cook for 2 minutes on low flame. If you want you can add some water for desired consistency.
  8. Switch off the gas. Serve dal bhaji with chapati and rice.
  9. Instead of kachcha aam you can used 1 1/2 tsp tamarind pulp or 1 tomato.
