- Get 300 g Fish
- Prepare 2 cups Rice (basmati or jeeragashala)

- Marinate fish with 1/2tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder and salt. Let it sit for 1/2 an hour.
- Shallow fry the fish for 2 mins each side.
- In a pressure cooker add fish fried oil, when it is hot add onion, ginger garlic chilli paste saute till onion turns translucent. Now add the tomatoes and the spice powders. Add 1/2 cup water, salt and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Open the pressure cooker and add fried fish. Close and cook for 10 minutes. Remove half of the fish and keep aside.
- Now take a vessel add ghee,cardomon, cinnamon and cloves. Add washed rice and saute for 1min. Add prepared fish masala to the rice and boiling water.
- When the rice is 3/4 cooked. Put the fried fish kept aside on top and add coriander leaves also. Close the lid and cook till the rice is done.
- Serve it raita and salad.
