  4. You need 1/4 cup flatnned rice

  8. Prepare to taste Salt
  9. You need 1/4 cup tamrind water
  10. Take 2 tbsp jaggery
  11. You need 2 tbsp sambhar masala
  12. You need 1 tsp red chilli powder
  13. You need 1/4 tsp haldi/ Turmeric powder
  14. Get 2-3 dry red chillies
  15. You need 2 tsp Curry leaves
  16. Get 1 onion chopped
  17. Take 1 tomato chopped
  18. Prepare 1/2 cup bottle gourd/Madras cucumber pieces
  19. Take 2 drumsticks cut to 3" piecesl
  20. Provide Chutney
  21. You need 1 cup fresh coconut pieces
  22. Get 1 tbsp roasted chana dal(futana dal)
  23. Get 1/2 tsp sugar
  24. Use 1 inch ginger
  25. Take 2 green chillies
  26. You need to taste Salt
  27. You need 1/4 tsp Jeera/cumin seeds
  28. Use 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  29. Prepare Tadka
  30. Use 2 tsp Oil for tadka
  31. You need 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  32. Prepare 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  33. Prepare pinch Hing/ asafoetida
  34. Get 2 tsp Curry leaves
Instructions to make Idli chutney sambar:
  1. Soak idli rawa and urad dal seperately for 8 hours. Soak flattened rice for 15 mins. Rinse and Grind only dal and flattened rice to smooth paste
  2. Squeeze rawa and mix with dal and flattened rice batter and keep aside to ferment for 8 hours in warm place. It will puff up
  3. Grease idli stand and add salt to batter and little water and pour in stands.
  4. Steam for 20 mins on medium flame.
  5. Sambar- cook dal for 3 whistles. Whisk add tamrind water, salt, water, jaggery, sambar masala and keep aside.
  6. In a vessel cook with water onions, tomatoes, bottle gourd, drumsticks with little salt. till completely cooked. Add them to the dal
  7. Mix well and cook on medium flame. Take tadka pan addvoil, Mustard, cumin, curry leaves, red chillies, red chilli powder and pour over sambar
  8. Bring to boil and serve
  9. Chutney- grind everything with little water to smooth paste. Take tadka pan add oil, mustrd, cumin, curry leaves, hing and pour over chutney.
  10. Ready to serve
