- In a saucepan, add water and bring to the boil, add rice,salt & cook for 15mins on med heat or until almost done.
- Drain and keep aside
- In a bowl add saffron along with a little warm water. Keep it aside to infuse for 5 -7 mins
- In a non stick pan, heat ghee over medium heat add cashews, raisins cloves and cardmom. Saute for 2-3 min and add the drained rice along with the sugar
- Cook until the sugar has dissolved for min,while stirring occasionally,add food colour
- After 2 mins add saffron to rice and mix gently. Cook for 3-4 mins until most of the liquid has evaporated
- Once cooked transfer the rice to a serving bowl, garnish with dry fruits
