  1. Use 3/4 cup whole black lentils (urad sabut)
  2. Take 1/4 cup kidney beans (Rajmah)
  3. Use 1 bay leaf
  4. Provide 2 cloves

  7. Take 3 tbsp desi ghee

  12. Take 1 tsp Kashmiri lal mirch
  13. You need 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  14. Take 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  16. Use 2 tsp coriander powder
  17. Provide 1 tsp garam masala powder
  18. You need 2 tsp butter
  19. Use 1/2 cup fresh malai
  20. Take leaves Coriander
Instructions to make DalMakhni:
  1. Firstly wash the lentils and kidney beans and soaked it for overnight.
  2. Now in the morning,strain the water and wash it properly.
  3. Now take a pressure cooker,add ghee in it and add bay leaf,both cardamoms little crushed,and cloves and roast it for a minute.Now add onions and saute it till little light golden colour.
  4. Now add salt,red chilli powder, Kashmiri lal mirch, turmeric powder and mix it well.
  5. After this add tomatoes and green chillies and cook it till tomatoes become soft.Now add our soaked lentils and kidney beans and mix it well.
  6. Now add ginger Juliennes, coriander powder and garam masala powder and give a nice mix and roast it for 1 minutes at low medium flame.
  7. Now add 4 cups of water and cover the lid and cook it for 25 minutes at low medium flame.After releasing down pressure open the cooker and give a mix.If still water shows more then cook it for more few minutes at high flame with open lid and stirr it between.
  8. Now beat the fresh malai properly to a smooth texture and add this in a dal and mix nicely and add butter from the top and garnish with coriander leaves and fresh cream.Our delicious DalMakhni is ready to serve with butter naan or lacha parantha or rumali roti.Enjoy 👌🥰👍
