The ingredients needed to make Instant Jalebi:
- Prepare For Jalebi batter-
- Provide 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- Get 1 tsp corn flour
- Get 1/4 tsp baking soda
- You need 1/2 tsp vinegar
- Take 1 tsp yogurt / curd
- Use as per taste Water
- You need 1/8 tsp yellow food colour, optional
- Get For sugar syrup -
- Use 1/4 cup water
- Use 1 cup sugar
- Use 1/4 tsp saffron strands / kesar, optional
- You need 1/4 tsp cardamom powder / elachi powder
- Get as required Ghee for deep frying
Instructions to make Instant Jalebi:
- Make sugar syrup by adding the sugar syrup ingredients and keep it aside.
- In a mixing bowl, mix flour, corn flour, curd.
- Then add half tsp vinegar and water.
- Mix well in round circular directions for 4 minutes.
- Add baking soda and give a gentle mix.
- Now pour this batter in the tomato ketchup bottles carefully.
- Heat ghee in a pan. Start making the jalebis in ghee by squeezing the bottle and making round spirals with the batter.
- When one side is partly cooked, turn over and fry the other side. Fry till the jalebis are a light golden.
- Then immediately drop the fried jalebis in the warm sugar syrup for 30 seconds
