- Get For paneer
- Get 1 liter Milk (cow)
- Provide 1 tbsp Vinegar(diluted with water)
- Take 1 drop Yellow food colour
- Get 1.1/2 cup Sugar
- Prepare 3 cup Water
- Take 1/2 tsp Rose essence
- Use For filling
- Prepare 1 cup Khoya
- Use 1 tbsp Sugar
- Provide 1/4 tsp Saffron syrup
- Prepare Dry fruits and saffron strands for garnishing
Steps to make Malai Chum Chum:
- In heavy bottom pan boil milk and add diluted vinegar,and food colour.
- When milk looks curdles switch off the gas.
- Pour curdle milk to the muslin cloth over strainer and squeeze out all the whey water.
- Hang this strained chena for 30 minutes.
- Transfer chena into a mixer jar and turn it on for just 30 second.Repet the same for one more time.
- Take soft chena in a big flat plate.
- Roll it.
- Make medium sized cylinder shape balls.
- For sugar syrup….In a large flat bottom pan add sugar and water,boil it.
- Add rose essence
- Add cylinder shape chena into the syrup,and cover it.
- Boil for 10 minutes on high flame.
- Boil for 10 minutes on low flame.
- Now chomchom is ready.
- Keep in fridge for 1 hour.
- For making filling,add sugar and saffron syrup in khoya.
- Heat the mixture on a medium flame for 5 minutes.
- Keep aside the filling and let it cool.
- Now if there is extra syrup in chomchom…Then remove it.
- Slit chomchom horizontally and fill it with the khoya mixture.
- Garnish with some dryfruits and saffron strands.
