- Get 100 gram moong dal soaked overnight
- You need Salt as per taste
- You need 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- Provide 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- Provide 1/4 teaspoon Hing
- You need Oil to deep fry the pakodas
- Use Water
- Prepare Curry leaves a sprig
- Use 1 teaspoon Rye
- Use 1 pinch Ajwain
- Take 2 cups Whisked curd
Instructions to make Moong dal pakodas in tempered curd:
- Grind the soaked dal
- Mix a bit of salt and ajwain and some turmeric powder in the batter.
- Heat oil and deep fry the pakodas until golden in colour
- Keep aside
- Heat a tbsp of oil in a separate pan
- Take curd. Mix salt turmeric powder and remaining red chilli powder in the curd. Adjust thickness of curd according to your choice.
- Add a pinch of hing and rye in the pan and let it crackle. Add curry leaves. Switch off the gas.
- Add the whisked curd in the pan.
- Add the dal pakodas in the curd.
- Serve when the pakodas become soft.
