  1. Soak 1 cup masoor dal overnight.
  2. In morning, drain water from dal.
  3. Add dal in a mixer and grind with very little water to make a fine paste.
  4. Take this dal batter, half chopped onion, 1 chopped green chilli, salt to taste in a bowl.
  5. Mix everything very well.
  6. Take 1 tomato, half chopped onion, 6 - 7 cloves of garlic, 1 inch ginger and water in a mixer and make a smooth paste.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and drop spoonfulls of the batter in the oil.
  8. Deep fry pokode till golden brown and crisp.
  9. Remove them on paper tissues to remove excess oil.
