The ingredients needed to prepare Dahi Vada:
  1. Prepare 1/2 cup Urad dal
  2. Use 1/8 tsp Methi seeds
  3. Use 2 inch ginger
  4. Use Salt as per taste
  5. Provide For seasoning of dahi

Instructions to make Dahi Vada:
  1. Grind soaked Urad dal along with soaked methi, salt and ginger to a soft batter, make vadas.
  2. Heat oil in a kadaai and fry them.
  3. Whisk curd so that it's soft. Grind fried chillies,roasted jeera, curry leaves and salt to a smooth paste
  4. Add this paste to curd. Heat 1tsp oil, put mustard,jeera, a pinch of hing and turmeric. Season the curd with this tempering. Put fried vadas in this curd mixture and leave for atleast 30mins so that vada absorbs the curd.
  5. Dahi vada is ready and serve cold.
