  2. Prepare 1/2 cup poha / aval / beaten rice, thick
  3. Take 1/2 cup rava / semolina / suji, fine

  1. Firstly, in a large bowl soak ½ cup poha in enough water for 5 minutes. - drain off the water and blend to smooth paste.
  2. Transfer the poha paste to a large bowl. - add ½ cup rava, ½ cup water, ½ cup curd and ½ tsp salt. - mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  3. Rest for 20 minutes making sure the rava is soaked well.prepare the toppings by taking ½ onion, ½ carrot,2 tbsp coriander and ¼ tsp salt.
  4. Mix well making sure everything is well combined.now pour the poha batter into small uttapam.
  5. Top with a tbsp of prepared toppings and press gently.sprinkle chilli flakes and pour 1 tsp oil around the uttapam. - cover and cook for a minute or until the base is cooked well.
  6. Flip over and cook both sides.finally, enjoy poha uttapam with tomato sauce or coconut chutney.
