The ingredients needed to prepare Dahi Wale Aloo:
- Provide For paste :
- Take 3 Tbsp curd/yoghurt
- Take 1 Tsp turmeric powder
- Use 2 Tsp red chilli powder
- Prepare 1 Tsp Coriander powder
- Take 1 Tsp cumin powder
- Get 1 Tsp garam masala
- Use For Tadka:
- Use 500 gms boiled potatoes
- Provide 2 Tbsp oil
- You need 1/2 Tsp turmeric powder
- Take 1/2 Tsp red chilli powder
- Provide 3 Tbsp oil
- Prepare 1/2 Tsp cumin seeds
- Use 2 green chillies
- Get 2 medium Chopped onion
- You need 1 Tbsp ginger garlic paste
Instructions to make Dahi Wale Aloo:
- Take curd in a bowl. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, Coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala and mix it well. Masala paste is ready now.
- Take the boiled potatoes, peel them and cut them in to half. Put the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and mix them well. Now take oil in a pan, when oil is hot put the boiled potatoes and fry them on medium flame for 2-3 minutes. Once it is fried take it out.
- Again take oil in a pan. Put cumin seeds and fry it for few seconds. Now put onion. Saute for 3-4 minutes on medium flame. Add Ginger garlic paste and saute for another 1 minute. - Now switch off the gas and let it cool down a bit. Once it has cooled down, add curd masala paste, keep the flame switch off and mix it well. Now turn on the gas again. Keep stirring and cook the masala for 5-6 minutes on medium flame. Cook it till the oil starts separating from it.
- Add 1.5 cup of water and mix it well, add salt as per your taste. Now add boiled potatoes and mix it well, cover it and cook it for 8-10 minutes.on medium flame. Now garnish with chopped Coriander. Dahi aloo is ready to serve.
