- Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Splutter mustard seeds.then add fenugreek seeds.immediately add chopped onions,chopped garlic and chopped ginger, curryleaves.Fry till it becomes golden brown.mean while soak tamarind in warm water(1/2 cup)
- When it becomes golden brown lower the flame and add red chilly powder turmeric powder and salt to taste.fry for 2-3 minutes.its should not burn. Add 2-3 tablespoon water to it so that it will not burn.
- Heat an earthened pan and pour the red chilli mixture to it along with the tamarind and water. Add fish to it. Add enough water and enough salt. Let it boil for 5 mins in high flame and 15 mins in low flame. Spicy fish curry is ready to serve.
