Instructions to make Yellow Moong Dal Dahi Bhalla:
  1. Take yellow moong dal in a bowl.
  2. Wash it properly and soak in normal water for 2 hrs. Drain it.
  3. Take mixer jar add drained dal and very little water. Beat it to smooth thick batter.
  4. Transfer the batter in bowl.
  5. Add salt and mix well.
  6. Mix batter very well with a spoon for 5 min till light and fluffy.
  7. Heat oil in a kadai / wok on medium flame.
  8. Pour a spoonfull of batter in hot oil.
  9. Fry it on medium flame till golden. It will take 4-5 min.
  10. Take bhalla out of the hot oil and drain on tissue paper.
  11. Repeat the same process for all the remaining batter.
  12. Keep aside till use.

  14. Heat water in a pan till it is luke warm.
  15. Add salt and mix.
  16. Dip all the bhallas in this water for 10-15 min.
  17. Bhallas will become soft and fluff a little.
  18. In this soaking process bhallas leave extra oil in the water and soak the water.
  19. Take out bhallas from the water.
  20. Press each of them lightly so that the excess water should drain away from them.
  21. Place bhallas on a serving plate.
  22. For serving :
  23. Add curd in a bowl.
  24. Mix sugar and whisk well so that no lumps should remain.
  25. Pour curd on the bhallas.
  26. Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder and cumin powder.
  27. Drizzle pudina chutney and imli chutney on it.
  28. Sprinkle boondi mixture on top.
  29. Moong dal dahi bhalla is ready to serve.
