The ingredients needed to make Dahi vada:
- Use 2 cups white urad dal soaked for 4 hours
- Get 1 litre curd
- Provide 2 tbps ginger chopped
- Provide 2 green chillies chopped
- Prepare as required Coriander leaves chopped
- You need as required Curry leaves, chopped
- Provide 1 pinch asafoetida
- Use to taste 🧂 Salt
- Use As Required Oil for seasoning
Instructions to make Dahi vada:
- Grind the urad dal to a fine batter.Add little 💧water as required.
- Whisk the curd to a creamy consistency. Keep it aside. In a kadai, add 🛢 oil, when hot add urad dal, red chilli 🌶, cumin seeds, ginger chopped, a pinch of asafoetida, curry leaves and coriander leaves and add this to the beaten curd.
- Now in a kadai, add enough amount of oil to fry the vadas. When hot, add the vadas. Once the vadas aur fried, dip them in lukewarm water for about 2-3 minutes.
- Then add the vadas into the curd. Keep it aside for 3-4 hours so that the curd enters the vada. Serve with kara boondi!!!
