Steps to make Hara chana curry:
- In a pan heat oil, add mustard seeds.
- When crackles add asafoetida, chopped onion and garlic paste. Saute for sometimes.
- Add boiled fresh hara chana.
- Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and dhania jeera powder. Mix well. Add little water and cook for couple of minutes. Keep aside.
- In a vessel whisk curd and besan together. Add enough water and mix well.
- Add salt, chopped green chillies and curry leaves. Keep on flame.
- Stir occasionally. When it comes to boil add sugar, grated ginger and mix well.
- Add prepared hara chana and cook for 4-5 minutes or till get desired consistency. Adjust consistency by water.
- In a tadka pan heat ghee, add mustard seeds, cloves, cinnamon pieces and cumin seeds. When crackles add asafoetida and dry red chillies.
- Pour this tadka over curry. Mix it and cook for couple of minutes. Switch off the flame and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
