The ingredients needed to prepare Palak Pulao /Spinach Rice:
- You need 1 bowl Rice uncooked
- Get 2 tsp pure Ghee
- You need 1 bay leaf, 1 star anise
- Get 1 tsp Cumin seed
- You need 1 " cinnemon stick, 1 black cardamom
- You need 6-7 black pepper corns
- Take 2 green cardamoms
- Get 2 bowls chopped spinach
- Prepare 1/2 bowl pea
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- Use to taste Salt
- Use 10-12 fried Cashews, Almonds
- Take 1 tbsp Freshly chopped coriander leavesfor garnishing
- Use 2 bowls Water
Instructions to make Palak Pulao /Spinach Rice:
- Firstly, put one bowl of soaked rice in pressure cooker and two cups of water. Only give one whistle and turn off flame. And keep aside.
- After that take a nonstick wide pan, take a tbsp of ghee.Add whole spices(bay leaf, cinnamon sticks, black peppercorn, cardomom, star seed, cumin seed). Then Add sliced onion and green chilli saute untill they turn slightly Crispy and light brown.
- Then add finely chopped spinach and fry for a minute till they get little softvand change their colour.when the spinach is cooked add peas and fry till the peas are cooked too.
- Lastly, add cooked rice and little bit Garam masala, salt to taste. mix well without breaking Rice grains..
- Note:- Don't overcook rice so that it is sticky.
- Now Spinach rice is ready, garnish with fried cashew & Almond and chopped coriander leaves and serve with Raita & pickle.
