  2. Provide 2 tbsp mustard oil

  4. Get 2-3 dry red chillies
  5. Prepare 7-8 garlic cloves(chopped)
  6. Get 3/4 cup milk
  7. You need 1/2 tsp sugar

Instructions to make Badi phula:
  1. Heat 1tbsp oil in a pan. Make sure the oil is spread all over the pan. Add 'badi' and fry it for 5-6min. till it turns little brown. Don't burn it.
  2. Remove it and let it cool for 1-2min.
  3. In another kadhai/wok, heat 1tbsp oil. Then add mustard seeds. When it starts spluttering, add chopped garlic.
  4. Then add dry chillies and saute it for 1-2min.
  5. Add 1/2cup water. Then add milk. Let it cook for 1min. in medium flame.
  6. Then add fried badi. Add salt to taste & let it cook till the badi becomes soft.
  7. While adding salt, please keep in mind that the badi already has salt in it. Then add sugar.
  8. The badi should absorb milk properly & will swell(that's why it's Badi Phula). The milk will start boiling & badi will absorb it. It's ready to serve.
