The ingredients needed to prepare Jeera Rice:
- Take 1.5 Cup Whole Grain Rice
- Get 2.5 Cup Water
- Use 3-4 Tablespoons Desi Ghee
- Prepare 1 Lemon Juice
- Take As required Khade Masale/ Dry Spices
- Get 1 Badi Elaichi/ Big Cardomom
- Provide 1 Small Daal Chini
- Use 3 Dry Red Chillies
- Prepare 2 Tej Patta/ Bay Leaf
- Provide 2 teaspoons Jeera
- Use 1 Teaspoon Salt
Steps to make Jeera Rice:
- Wash Rice Properly & carefully so that all of it's starch is released & till water becomes transparent.
- Then soak them in water for 3-4 minutes.
- Meanwhile, take a Kadhai or pan, add 3 Table Spoon Desi Ghee in it & keep the gas at medium flame.
- Then add Khade Masale in it & let them sizzle.
- Now after 3-4 minutes, drain out the water from rice & add them in kadhai without water.
- Then roast them in desi ghee for 2-3 minutes so that ghee sticks to every rice grain & in the end every grain of rice is separated.
- After 2-3 minutes, add 2.5 Cups of water with 1 Teaspoon Salt & 1 Lemon Juice.
- Then close the lid by 3/4 & let it boil on high flame.
- When it starts boiling, turn the gas on medium flame & stir them regularly after 3-4 minutes each.
- Remember don’t stir them for more than 2-3 minutes.
- After 2 second 3-4 minutes, check whether any water is left at bottom of Kadhai or not with the help of a fork.
- If fork is clear & no water is left, turn off the gas, close the lid properly & let them sit in their and steam it for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, open the lid & your Jeera Rice are ready to be served.
